Alice Bailey

Alice is said to be the mother of this new age movement and is even credited with popularizing the term new age. Alice Bailey was fond of theosophy, astrology, channeling, and other practices. She claimed to channel a tibetan spirit named Djwhal Khul, and wrote many different books based on the telepathic insight according to Bailey. Although many now believe this may have been heavily influenced by previous works of C.W Leadbeater. Her second husband was a 32nd degree freemason. At this level, immensely disturbing, depraved rituals and satanic witchcraft are the norm. In the 1920's, Alice and Foster Bailey started a publishing company and named it “Lucifer Publishing Company”, which was later changed to Lucis.

She often spoke about the return of a worldly teacher. Alice also talked about a ladder of evolution saying the Aryan race and one other being the most evolved. Very similar to Nazi Germany with undertones of anti-semitism. She goes on to denigrate several races and people, inferring they are unintelligent. All the while, completely and utterly botching and twisting biblical scripture to a seemingly bitter, vindictive extent. At times it got to the point of many questioning her overall sanity.

The Secret & Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction doctrine and the book The Secret have become perhaps the most widely practiced doctrines of the new age realm in modern times. What many don't realize is the origins of it, the people behind it, and the lack of integrity behind all of it. Esther and Jerry Hicks popularized this concept in recent times, borrowing from previously written material and repackaging it with the practice of "channeling". In fact, sadly, Jerry Hicks himself died of cancer and underwent chemo, which totally went against the suggestions in The Secret. For years, they suggested any disease can be easily cured. Esther hasn't said a word about this but keeps teaching these dangerous practices that dangle false carrots in front of overzealous people who are looking to improve their lives. And making millions in the process.

The person largely responsible for the foundation of the Law of Attraction and The Secret is a man named Napoleon Hill. Although this is largely ignored and unknown, Napoleon had a history of scams, fraud, and deceptions. This movement has caused many deaths due to its philosophy about people being able to heal any disease by simply practicing the exercises suggested. It makes incredibly irresponsible claims that have NEVER, EVER been backed up by any real, honest studies. On the contrary, there are so many cases showing that it doesn't work. Not only for disease, but for millions of people who are trying to manifest certain things for months or even years, all to no avail. There's this scapegoat mentality where if people don't get what they want, they're doing it wrong. All the while peddling these so-called success stories which it usually boils down to either fraudulent, deceptive means to obtain these things or just good old-fashioned hard work that has nothing to do with the Law of Attraction.

William Blake

Born in 1757, William claimed to have visions as a young child and had a talent for drawing and poetry. He claimed to talk to the dead and channel random people, many of them famous. William had somewhat of a luciferian mindset at times and aspired to be his own god and savior. Though he believed in good traits according to some, he viewed salvation was a mindset. He often took biblical themes and twisted them to his convenient liking. Blake claimed to have random conversations with many famous people and was allegedly seen quite often talking to invisible friends in the streets. Many believed he was utterly mad and had mental illness, while others believed he was a genius and one of the most influential artists ever.

Annie Besant

Annie Besant became Helena Blavatsky's successor after converting and closely following her teachings. Annie was the president of the Theosophical Society from the very early 1900's up until her deat and was also elected president of the Indian National Congress. She was an early advocate of birth control and an excellent public speaker. Later on, Annie predicted that someone named Jiddu Krishnamurti to be a messiah-like world teacher to bring about enlightenment.

This never occurred and Jiddu left the movement to give lectures on his own. He remains well known, although after a book with certain details from someone close to him may have changed some of the opinions on him. He later had perpetual bouts with illnesses, but continued to give lectures in his old age. However, this incident caused her image to take a hit. Annie Besant collaborated with C.W. Leadbeater in psychic endeavors and past life exploration.

C.W. Leadbeater

C.W. Leadbeater was another member of the Theosophical Society. Many of the writings of Alice Bailey borrow from earlier works of Charles. He was a medium and clairvoyant that wrote over 30 books on a bevy of spiritual topics. C.W admitted under oath to pedophilia on numerous occasions and was forced out of the Theosophical Society in shame. He is also known for lying, fraud, and many other things all throughout his career.

He was also introduced to (and became a member) a sex cult and magic group in Australia by a Bishop of the Catholic Church named James Wedgwood. James Wedgwood has numerous accusations of extremely depraved acts on his record and was forced to step down. In 1851, C.W. claimed to have met a so called “ascended master” named Morya at four years old in London. Since it is known that he lied about his age and was born in 1853, it appears this was a lie as well. After getting kicked out of the theosophical society, Annie Besant reinstated him despite all the overwhelming evidence.

Leadbeater contributed to grooming Jidda Krishnamurti as a new world leader. However, they had a falling out and this never happened. When Krishnamurti was asked about C.W later on, his words were “That man was evil”. The Tibetan spirit that Alice Bailey claimed to speak to also allegedly spoke to C.W. Alice Bailey claimed that this spirit told her this about C.W Leadbeater. “Of his sincerity and of his point of attainment there is no question” (“Esoteric Psychology” Vol. 2, p. 302-303) By C.W's record, it seems like a very inaccurate and dubious thing to say about someone with a massive history of insincerity, harming others, and fraud.

Jane Roberts

Jane Roberts was a highly influential author, poet, channel, and psychic. Her channelings of the entity named “Seth” made her very well known in the new age realm. This work has been translated all around the globe and is still read regularly today. In one channeling session, this entity Seth claimed to have been a pope in 300 AD and talked about having illegitimate children, a mistress, a magician, and a housekeeper who was pregnant every year that he had her. In addition, Seth claimed to have three daughters who joined a nunnery because he didn't want them.

It was noticed that Seth also claimed to be Pope in the 3rd century as well. This entity Seth came about from Jane working with a well-known game that many use to this day. This game opens up and invites certain dark spiritual forces and many people's lives have been horribly influenced by it. ”Seth” spoke of every event being a product of collective energy of humans and animals, rather than the responsibility of those in charge of them. Many of “Seth's” teachings totally clashed with reality, although they appeared intelligent and deep, which impressed many. The false teachings of Seth about Jesus Christ is something that sticks out like a sore thumb. Denying the cross and saying some truly unfounded, dubious theories that sound more like personal bitterness than unbiased information.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho)

Quoted by so many around the world, most do not know the true nature of this man who developed a very large cult-like following. He has many best-selling books that are heavily read and many think of Osho as an enlightened guru or some sort. In fact, he declared himself enlightened (which is of course the sign of the opposite). This was a man that poisoned salad bars to win an election (they made and dispersed liquid salmonella), drugged homeless people, led drug-induced orgies (which spreads disease obviously), organized hundreds of sham marriages to evade immigration laws, practiced all sorts of corruption, said abominable things about God and those that choose to serve God. Osho has also said that killing someone is meditative because of his beliefs that nobody is really killed (which shows such profound selfish confusion and a total lack of empathy), groped and fondled students of his, was very high on drugs, and so much more.

Aleister Crowley

Aleister's name has grown in popularity and is regarded as one of the most influential people in the last hundred years. He influenced yoga, meditation, ceremonial magic, ritualistic practices, tarot, and many other things in the new age industry. Though some of these were already known, he propelled them further. Many musicians and occultists follow many of his teachings. He's even on the cover of the famous Sgt. Pepper album by the Beatles.

Aleister was dubbed the “ Great Beast” by his own mother and known as the wickedest man in the world. He was a known pedophile and practiced child sacrifice, incredibly heavy drug use, eating his own excrement, and all sorts of absolutely disgusting rituals. Despite not wanting to waste much air on this depraved psycho, it's important to know some of the incredibly dubious figures that contributed to the new age movement. His last words before death were supposedly, “I am perplexed” and spent the last weeks before he died in intense fear. His first wife died in a mental asylum and second wife also went insane. Five other known mistresses all committed suicide. Despite the overwhelming evil of Aleister, he is still influencing many famous people, industries, as well as the new age industry.

Andrew Jackson Davis

Andrew Jackson (not the president) was a well-known spiritualist who caused momentum in the realms of spirit communication, channeling, clairvoyance, and entering a trance to obtain information. Despite not being well-educated, he wrote books on different subjects during this trance state. He wrote on the afterlife, healing cures, predictions of future inventions, and much more. He claimed to have an “ear for imaginary voices”. Although some of these predictions wowed many, others were quite off base. Davis claimed that he had only read one book, which was later known to be a lie. Some called him a cheat after noticing parallels to earlier scientific works.

One supposed remedy included catching 32 weasels, removing their hind legs at the middle joint, and boiling the oil with the adjacent parts. He also claimed to have wandered off in a trance 40 miles away where he claimed to meet the ghosts of Emmanuel Swedenborg (another big new age influencer) and the Greek physician Galen. Many of his works were labeled as heretical and ridiculous. One researcher stated the futility in reading his trance-based science because of how many errors there were. He later distanced himself from the spiritualist movement and received a traditional education in medicine.

Baba Ram Dass

Baba Ram Dass was born Richard Alpert to a wealthy jewish family. He was a student and friend of Timothy Leary, the most prolific advocate for LSD. Alpert's most recognized work is his book Be Here Now, which sold several million copies. He influenced people such as Steve Jobs, Judd Apatow, George Harrison, and others. He excelled in academics, though lost his job as a Haat Harvard for his sexual escapades and giving out LSD. Although he admitted to having hundreds of homosexual encounters, one relationship with a female produced a child, which he was unaware of for nearly half a century.

Ram Dass claimed to do LSD over 300 times in only 5 years. In one experiment, he and 5 others locked themselves in a bowling alley for two weeks and ingested massive quantities of LSD. The highs quickly turned to horrible lows. At the end of two weeks, all of the participants thoroughly hated each other. Following this, he moved to India to find enlightenment through other practices. Over time, his close friendship to Timothy Leary deteriorated due to Ram Dass trying to seduce Leary's 15 year old son. However, after years of being estranged, Leary called Ram Dass after Leary was dying of cancer.

Some people who attended his meetings have said that he was constantly “hitting” on young boys and seemed almost predatory. Despite that, he gained influence by being a charismatic speaker with humor. Sometimes he appeared humble, while other times it was the total opposite. Later on, he had a massive stroke and was paralyzed and unable to speak. Through intensive therapy, he regained some speaking abilities again and died at 88.

Sai Baba

Sai Baba is one of India's most influential people in the last 100 years. When alive, he was one of the most famous men in India and his teachings permeated many cultures and religions, including the new age industry. At around 14 years old, he was bitten by a scorpion. After recovering, his character transformed and he claimed to be an incarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. He started performing what people viewed as supernatural miracles and was exalted to a position of being a deity by followers.

Most of his miracles consisted of materializing items and objects, claiming to cure illnesses, and more. At the age of 34, he declared himself an avatar on earth. He is quoted saying "my divine power knows no boundaries. I have the power to transform the earth to heaven and the sky to earth. But I don't do it because there is no reason for it." Most of the time he was boasting and bragging of himself, although he started some hospitals and schools that made many others revere him. Many critics argued, why would hospitals be needed where so many died when he's claiming to cure diseases and have such power?

After videos of many of his so-called miracles were shown to be parlor tricks, magic, and quite possibly sorcery, some changed their mind about him. There are numerous allegations of sexual assault, molestation, pedophilia, and even murder. Some of these effects caused suicides in victims. People very close to him exposed things that took place in his ashram. Children who were called to his ashram to be “interviewed” and filed claims against Sai Baba were found to have evidence of molestation when examined.

Hari Sampat, a software engineer in Chicago who served as a voluntary inner-security member in Baba's ashram from 1992-1995, claims: "I had heard of these pedophilic activities. I investigated them and found all of them to be true. Others have found the same upon close examination. It was then that I knew I had to expose it all." His predictions most often failed, including the age he said he would die. He also said that he would be king and rule the world before he left and usher in a “Golden Age of Sai”

There are many other people who influenced and propelled the modern new age movement, but these are some of the main figures. An in depth look at some of these makes certain commonalities clearly emerge. The consistent themes of fraud, abuse, predatory behavior (in some), lying, cheating, dubious practices that were debunked usually, and so much more. Many of these people didn't know what was happening to them at the time. They felt and had certain experiences happen to them without realizing where it was coming from and didn't question it.

There is also a common theme of almost an irrational hatred of the Bible, twisting scripture, wanting glory, manipulation, fraud, and making up the rules according to their own impulses. I do genuinely believe they were led spiritually, but that these spirits were demonic and fallen in nature. Oftentimes, when someone experiences a supernatural event, they automatically believe it to be divinely led, but so often, this isn't the case. Something very dark and demonic disguised as love and light, founded on the premise of destruction, or order out of chaos.

The new age realm is growing very rapidly all throughout the world. It is based on certain themes and practices such as the earth moving into 5D consciousness, ascension, ascended masters, spirit guides, energy healing/reiki, astral projection, lightworkers, star seeds, crystals, yoga, tarot cards, meditation, channeling, and beyond. It speaks of love, light, positive intentions, and other things that appear very alluring on the surface. Having personally dabbled in this realm in the past, I know its allure, despite many odd things going on within it. Different deceptions have been created for different types of hearts and minds. While many people within the new age realm mean well and genuinely want to grow in truth, I implore people to earnestly take a look at its origins.

You can often tell the true nature of something by really digging into the origins and conception of something. The outward appearance of something is usually much different than the underlying spirit and core. Some practices in the new age realm such as magic, occultism, astrology, certain rituals, and ways of trying to connect to the spirit world borrow from ancient Babylon and Egypt. These cultures have several glaring things in common. Sun worship, polytheism, rampant immorality, and debauchery. Of course, these practices bled into so many other societies. While there isn't one founder, here are some of the main figures who propelled this movement into what it is today.

H.P. Blavatsky

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky was known to be a mystic, medium, and is considered to be the “godmother” of the new age industry. She was the cofounder of the Theosophical Society, and announced a coming new age. Blavatsky started to gain a larger following after a reporter featured her. She often talked about these deceased beings called the “mahatmas” and that their arrival was imminent, which never happened. This new age was a sort of new philosophy/religion that blended occultism, mediumship, spirit communication, and different ideas.

Upon closer inspection, it was found that much of the spiritual phenomenon and events that she boasted about were found to be totally fraudulent. After many dubious endeavors, her reputation took a hit, but still heavily influenced the new age and occultic realms. Kurt Vonnegut called her "The Founding Mother of Occult in America." She has also been deemed a plagiarist and con artist. In reality, Blavatsky was a satanist, which was obvious by some of her writings. A deep level of bitterness and irrational hatred of biblical writings were apparent in many of her writings.

Millions of people became fans of her work despite the glaring lack of integrity and proven fraud. Adolf Hitler, as well as much of the Nazi party, were big fans of her work. In fact, Hitler allegedly kept a copy of one of Helena's most famous books, The Secret Doctrine, by his bedside. The Swastika symbol well known in Nazi Germany was also borrowed from Theosophy, as well as some of the concepts that ignited Nazi Germany. Who knows if that would have even taken place if not for Blavatsky's writings. Hitler was deeply into the occult and working with certain dark spirits, which were likely influenced by Blavatsky. Combine that with a hunger for power and an extraordinarily powerful cocktail of different drugs, and you get a very volatile, dangerous, confused human being.

Here are some interesting testimonies from people who were very deeply entrenched in new-age spirituality. There are hundreds online that show very insidious dangers and a hidden agenda of this movement.
